A New Studio Home!!

As of yesterday, Matt Addington Photography has a new home…or maybe a REAL, tangible, brick & mortar home!!

I have acquired an awesome, awesome studio space in Cannon Falls, MN. It is exactly what we have been looking/praying for and trust that this will be a huge step forward for the business.

It’s on the main street in Cannon Falls, MN which is a cool little town on the Cannon River about 30 minutes south of the Twin Cities. I’ll be just off the corner of Mill Street which houses much history and cool, trendy shops including the Cannon Valley Winery, Mill Street Tavern and The Old Market Deli (not to mention a couple doors down from a wonderful bakery…uh oh!!). And I will literally be steps away from the Cannon River and it’s scenic waterfalls.

For those of you who have enjoyed my outdoor work around our farm, don’t worry. I am not abandoning all shooting there, but just been really seeking to have a place of my own where clients aren’t stepping over kids toys, changing clothes in our 130 year old, under the stairs bathroom or relying on the mercies of good weather for their session. My style is, and will continue to be, capturing lifestyle in a relaxed, laid back environment and the farm will be one location to do this. But I am excited about the spots to shoot in and around Cannon Falls as well.

It’s going to be a great place to meet with clients and potential clients as well as share my work in a tangible way which my online presence doesn’t provide. One big intention here is going to be the gallery part of this studio space. I can’t wait to have folks sit back in a comfy chair with a hot drink and look at great photography and art. We’ve always had lots of products to share in a tangible way from the Vision Custom Design business and this will surely do more justice to those pieces of art.

As you can see from the photos, this is a great space with awesome character. It’s about 1600 sq feet with one massive old stone wall that will be a real focal point. It’s got two bathrooms and some office space in the back. There’s definitely some work that needs to be done, but I am looking forward to working with Renae Keller Interior Design to make the place “Hip, Now, With It, and Wow” which Renae is a master at.

I will keep you posted on the progress in the coming weeks and look forward to your first visit to my new business home! As always, thank you for your interest in sharing this journey with me. It’s been a blessing.

Enjoy a little sneak peek…

Congrats, Matt! It looks like a great space – those floors and that stone wall are gorgeous! Can’t wait to see the progress, as I know you’ll make it look awesome. Also, make sure to introduce yourself to the ladies who own Fourth & Main – they’re wonderful!
